What to look for when buying cowboy boots for little boys
Boys cowboy boots shouldn’t slide on too easily. It should be snug, and it might be a tight fit initially, this should ease over the first few times wearing them. Kids should try on both boots as most people’s feet are not the same size. You need to buy footwear for the larger of the two feet.
Your child should be able to pull the boots on all by themselves, using the boot straps and their own body weight. When they are wearing the right size, there will be an audible thunk when their foot is seated properly inside the boot.
Ideally, they should have one thumb’s width at the toe end of the boot to allow for immediate growth. The bridge of the foot should be snug, but not to the point of causing tingling in their toes.
A slight slip in the heel allows for more comfortability and is necessary for all leather boots to mold and shape to their individual feet. This should be less than 0.5”. If the heel is slipping significantly more, the boot size is too big
